Ashley Basile, is a Set Designer from Central New Jersey. She completed her education in Set Design at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University along with certifications through Sotheby's Institute of Art.
Her most recent designs include Basie Award winning design(s) for James & The Giant Peach (2025) and The Legend of Sleepy Hallow (2023) and Moby Dick: Rehearsed (2019) with Dir. Reuben Jackson at Red Bank Regional Theater Company. The Off-Broadway Production of Women of Will, Dir. Eric Tucker at BEDLAM (2024), A Divine Riot's Production of; The A - Train Anthology (2024), A Comedy of (T)errors (2024) with Thinkery & Verse, MAMA MIA! (2024)with Red Bank Regional Theater Company, Selling Kabul (2023) with Premiere Stages, Dir. Taylor Renyolds, La Boheme (2023) with Amore Opera at The Center at West Park, Dir. Sabrina Palladino, as well as Thou Shalt Not, a new play with Thinkery & Verse premiered in Fall of 2019, and brought back to the site specific stage in 2022 for the 100 year anniversary of the brutal double homicides and unsolved mystery that the show is based on.
Note-worthy includes her designs for Thinkery & Verse's Bride of the Gulf for both the New York and New Jersey runs, as well as its international Debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest in 2018, followed by Dionysus in America, which premiered in Austin, TX, 2019.
Her undergrad credits include, Blood Wedding directed by Matthew Dickson, Julius Caesar and As You Like It, with director Simon Dormandy. Grateful to have studied abroad in Berlin and at Shakespeare's Globe in London, she has worked for Two River Theater, George St. Playhouse, Prop n' Spoon, The Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey, and The American Repertory Ballet.
